A GENTLE, CREAMY CLEANSER FOR SENSITIVE SKIN THAT NEEDS A LITTLE EXTRA LOVE

Janesce Honey + Bloom Cleansing Milk

100ml

Delicate skin deserves a cleanser that doesn’t just remove impurities, but also nurtures and restores. Janesce Affinité Honey + Bloom Cleansing Milk is a beautifully soft, rose-infused formula designed especially for skin that feels dry, tight, reactive or sensitive. Whether you’re experiencing seasonal changes, hormonal shifts, or long-term sensitivity, this luxurious cleanser works in harmony with your skin, not against it.

Infused with a dreamy blend of rose, chamomile, lavender, marshmallow, and honey, this cream-based cleanser melts away daily impurities and makeup (non-waterproof), without stripping away your skin’s natural oils. Instead, it leaves your skin feeling calm, hydrated, and beautifully balanced, like it’s had a deep sigh of relief.

Formulated with a double dose of rose for its softening and anti-inflammatory properties, this cleanser is also rich in plant extracts that help to draw moisture into the skin and support the skin’s natural protective barrier.

Aqua (Water) Capryllic Capric Triglyceride, Decyl Oleate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetearyl Alcohol, Emulsifyng Wax NF, Glycerin, Mel extract (Hydrogenated honey), Rosa Centifolia flower extract*, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) flower extract,* Althea officinalis (Marshmallow) leaf extract,* Anthemis nobilis (Chamomile) flower extract,* Benzyl alcohol/Ethylhexylglycerin/Tocopherol, Rosa Damascena flower oil, Santalum spicatum (Sandalwood) wood oil.

Capryllic capric triglyceride is an excellent skin-replenishing ingredient which helps the skin resist moisture loss. It is made from coconut oil. Glyceryl stearate and glyceryl cocoate are skin conditioning ingredients made from plants. Cetyl alcohol and cetearyl alcohol are white, waxy substances made from coconut oil. They are emollients, which means they protect, soften and condition skin. They don’t have the same effect on the skin as ‘regular’ alcohols.

Ethylhexylglycerine is a preservative that is used in very low concentrations in some Janesce skincare products. It were chosen because it scores very favourably on the EWG (Environmental Working Group) Cosmetic Ingredient Safety Database.

No nasties. No worries. Cruelty free.

  • Our Advice

Pair it with Janesce Rose Soaking Drops for the ultimate calming cleanse. This cleanser is especially loved by those aged 35+ who are noticing changes in skin texture, hydration and resilience.

    Less is More

Janesce cleansers are especially formulated so that a little goes a long way. Use one pump – the size of a pea – to cleanse. You only need a very small amount of Janesce product on damp skin to achieve great results.

    Cleanse in the Evening Only

In Janesce, we place a high priority on strengthening the skin barrier. This is the name for the uppermost layers of the skin that protect the vulnerable layers beneath. Over-cleansing can undermine the skin barrier. It is one of the biggest causes of skin problems, even for oily skin! This is why we recommend you cleanse in the evening only. In the morning, simply wipe the skin with a damp cloth and move onto the skin soaking routine. This will remove any excess oil or perspiration without undermining the skin barrier.

    Removing Make-Up

If you wear heavier make-up you may choose to double-cleanse your skin. Otherwise a single cleanse is best to avoid unnecessary stripping of the skin barrier. Janesce cleansers will not remove water-proof mascara. This type of mascara contains tar-like substances which require solvents to dissolve them.  These solvents are damaging to skin, so we do not use them. We recommend you switch to a good quality, regular mascara.

    Tone Not

Janesce cleansers do not contain any mineral or petroleum-based oils so they will rinse easily and cleanly away with water. They are also pH-balanced, which means they will maintain the delicate balance of the skin and support the skin barrier. This means you do not need to use a toner after a Janesce cleanser.

Plant actives are extracted from plants in the onsite lab at Claret Ash Farm. They are left to mature for years at a time, like a fine wine.

Plant extracts provide the active ingredients in each product.

Moisturisers feature quality plant oils and shea butter.

Waxes are plant-based, derived from coconut oil.

  • We believe in treating all living beings with respect. None of our products are tested on animals. All of the products in the Janesce Glow Packs are vegan.

*In the wider Janesce range, the honey used in some Janesce Skincare products is ethically sourced from happy bees. Silk-proteins used in several products are also ethically sourced.

  • Our skin has a natural barrier. It protects the deeper layers of skin from environmental irritants. In the beauty industry today, this skin barrier is often stripped away through over-cleansing, exfoliation and harsh peels.

At Janesce we have the upmost respect for the skin barrier. We believe it is vital to work in harmony with the skin’s defences, not against them. Our skincare philosophy works to strengthen this layer and foster a healthy, natural glow.

HOW TO SKIN SOAK

In the morning fill your sink with warm water, add a few soaking drops to the water and take several deep breaths, enjoying the therapeutic fragrance.

In the evening, begin by cleansing your skin of makeup, sunblock chemicals and pollutants that can build up during the day. Follow with the soaking ritual (as above).

Immerse your Janesce Soaking Cloth in the warm water, wring out the excess and press the damp cloth to your face and neck area. Take five slow, deep breaths and enjoy the process.

Repeat this step at least three times to ensure your skin is fully hydrated.

Immediately after soaking, apply a Janesce mist and/or serum.

Do not dry your face or let the moisture evaporate as this will undermine the benefits of skin soaking. Apply a Janesce moisturiser or facial oil to seal in all that botanically-enriched hydration.
