Janesce Suncare Lotion contains a concentrated blend of organic plant extracts to naturally protect skin from UVA and UVB rays. The plants have been selected for their ability to protect skin from the harmful effects of sun exposure, pollutants and environmental stressors. Rich in vitamins A, C and antioxidants, this lotion also offers healing, nourishing and anti-ageing skin benefits.

The majority of plants in Janesce Skincare products are grown, harvested and extracted at Claret Ash Farm – an organic, biodynamic garden in the Adelaide Hills of Australia.
Suitable For: all skin types and pregnant women and children over 6 months of age.
Important Note: Janesce Suncare Lotion does not include a typical SPF sunscreen and will not provide immediate sun protection. Initially, it must be used for at least seven consecutive days before it becomes effective. This is because the natural, plant-based sun protective qualities build over time to protect skin at a cellular level. It is important to protect the skin by applying Janesce Suncare Lotion every day of the year, not just during summer.
If you are going to have prolonged exposure to the sun, cover up with sunhat and protective clothes and apply an SPF sunscreen to any remaining exposed areas.
No nasties, no worries, cruelty free.
Apply in the morning only.
After skin soaking and applying Janesce mists/concentrates/serums, apply Janesce Suncare Lotion, either under or over your moisturiser.
Apply one pump onto fingertips and massage into face and neck.
If possible, leave to absorb into skin for 5-10 minutes before applying make-up.
Aqua, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), sesamum indicum (sesame oil), daucus carota (carrot oil), glycerin, ceteareth 12, ceteareth 20, lecithin, xanthan gum, aloe barbadensis (aloe), calendula officinalis (calendula), viola tricolor (viola/heartease), helichrysum italicum (everlasting), lavandula angustifolia (lavender), lavandula hybrid (lavender oil), verbena officinalis (oil), phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin.
Ethylhexylglycerine and phenoxyethanol are preservatives that are used in very low concentrations in some Janesce skincare products. They were chosen because they score very favourably on the EWG (Environmental Working Group) Cosmetic Ingredient Safety Database.
A Light Moisturiser:
If you live and work in a mild environment that is not drying on the skin, the Janesce Suncare Lotion is suitable to be used as a daily face moisturiser. It is also an ideal moisturiser for oily skin types, for males and early teens.
Why No SPF Rating?
Janesce Suncare Lotion offers natural suncare protection without harsh chemicals. It does not have an SPF rating, because it provides innovative plant-based skin protection, which cannot can not be tested through current industry practices.
The Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is a measurement for UVB rays only. There is no universal measurement for protection against UVA rays, which penetrate deeper into the skin and are harder to block.
No sunscreen can block all UV rays. It’s important to be aware that high-SPF products require higher concentrations of sun-filtering chemicals, some of which pose health risks when they penetrate the skin.
In Australasia there are 33 recognised sunscreen ingredients that protect the skin from UVB rays. Recent studies show that some of these ingredients are absorbed into the blood and may undermine health.
Janesce Suncare Lotion does not use any of these questionable ingredients. Instead it uses organic plant actives that progressively build the skins natural resilience to both UVA and UVB rays over time. The downside of this is that it makes obtaining an SPF rating difficult. Standard SPF testing is only effective for products that provide sun protection with a single application. Rest assured that Janesce Suncare Lotion provides a high level of sun protection even though this cannot by validated by current industry practice.
